Citizens Academy

Citizens Academy gives residents an opportunity to become civically engaged by building positive relationships with county officials while furthering their education through familiarization with county processes. Through Citizens Academy, participants will get a behind-the-scenes look at county operations and be given the opportunity to become ambassadors for the place we all love to live, work, and play - Polk County!

Citizens Academy spans 4 weeks of interactive learning sessions followed by a commemorative graduation ceremony for participants. This exciting program is made possible by our generous community partners:

  • Coosa Valley Credit Union
  • Advance Rehabilitation of Cedartown
  • Georgia Vinyl and Thread
  • Georgia Northwestern Technical College
  • NFP, An Aon Company
  • Peach State Ford of Cedartown
Thank you to all who have contributed in helping us promote this educational offering to our community!
