What is Touch-a-Truck?

Polk County's Touch-a-Truck event is a beloved annual tradition that gives children (and kids at heart!) the exciting chance to get up close and hands-on with the big trucks, emergency vehicles, and equipment they see every day in their community.

From fire engines to dump trucks, patrol cars to ambulance — this is your child’s chance to climb in, honk the horn, and learn what it’s like behind the wheel of the vehicles that keep our county running safely and smoothly.

More than just trucks — this is your family’s chance to meet the real-life heroes behind the wheel!
Children will have the opportunity to talk with:
