The Planning and Zoning Board of Polk County works diligently to guide the development and growth of our community, balancing progress with sustainability. PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEETINGS:

The Polk County Planning and Zoning Board meets on the third Thursday of every month unless there are no items on the agenda. Meetings are hosted at the Polk County Commissioners Meeting Room located at: 73 Clines Ingram Jackson Road, Cedartown, Ga 30125.

JULY PUBLIC NOTICES:

The Polk County Planning Commission will conduct a public meeting on July 17, 2025 at 6:00PM in the Polk County Board of Commissioners meeting room, located at 73 Cline-Ingram Jackson Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.

The Planning Commission will review the following applications:

  • Case #: V-25-06: Bradley McCurdy requesting a variance for property located at 3849 Treat Mountain Rd. Cedartown, Ga 30125 (Tax Parcel:021-010). The applicant requests a variance to front setback. This property contains 100.53 acres.
  • Case #: Z-25-06: Christopher & Erin Parmer requesting to rezone property located at 691 Cave Spring Rd. Cedartown, Ga 30125_(Tax Parcel:024-059). The applicant is requesting to rezone the property from A-1 to C-1. This property contains 1.23 acres.

The Polk County Board of Commissioners will review the applications on August 5, 2025 at 5:15PM in the Polk County Board of Commissioners meeting room, located at 73 Cline-Ingram Jackson Road, Cedartown, GA 30125.
