In Loving Memory of Mrs. Sloan Nelson

On Tuesday, October 2nd, Superior Court Judge Andrew Roper called the Superior Court Staff to the hearing room to present them with a beautiful piece of hand-painted artwork in memory of Mrs. Sloan Nelson.

Sloan Nelson was a beloved member of our Polk County family and we have sincerely missed her presence in the days since her passing.

Judge Roper coined it best, saying, "Sloan's ever-present smile and positive attitude were a bright light in the courthouse and her warmth was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She brought a sense of joy and professionalism to her work that will be sorely missed by her colleagues, and I know her absence leaves a void in your hearts and in the office."
