POLK COUNTY PROBATE COURT SERVICES
Probate Court exercises jurisdiction in the probate of wills, the administration of estates, the appointment of guardians, and the involuntary hospitalization of incapacitated adults and other dependent individuals. This court also administers oaths of office and issues marriage licenses, birth certificates, death certificates, gun permits, and hears traffic cases.
Marriage License Application Info
If you are US Citizen, you must have with you a valid picture ID (Driver's License or Passport) to obtain a Marriage License. If you are not a US Citizen, you must provide a Certified Copy of your Birth Certificate, including certified translations if produce in languages other than English.
If you have been divorced, you must also have a copy of your Divorce Decree.
