The Polk County Planning and Zoning Board works diligently to regulate the use of land, the location and use of buildings and other site improvements, and the construction of public facilities and private improvements related to the development of land.
The deadline for taking zoning change applications and variance request can vary due to advertising. Please call the office for up to date information on these dates.
Planning and Zoning Meetings: Held on the third Thursday of every month unless there are no items on the agenda.
Board Of Commissioners Meetings:
Held on the first Tuesday of every month. Special called meetings announced as scheduled.
